    About Coach Lex
    Lexi continued her playing career at Maryville University, where she graduated in December 2019. During college, she maintained her role as a coach with the STL Nemesis. In the spring of 2023, Lexi was announced as the head coach for her alma mater, Francis Howell High School. In her first season with the Vikings, Coach Lexi led the squad to a Class 5 MSHSAA State Championship.

    Her strengths as a coach are hitting mechanics, and working with corner infielders. Lexi’s passion is coaching players to strengthen their mental toughness, creating resilient athletes.

    About Coach K
    After graduating from Concordia University Chicago where she was a four-year starter, Kristen found her vocation in giving back to the game of softball. Coach K excels in helping athletes unlock their full potential and improve every day by running intentional practices that give athletes opportunities to excel under game-like pressure.

    Kristen’s strengths as a coach are her versatile defensive knowledge, as well as small-ball and the mental side of the game. In her 9-to-5 life, she is a Marketing Brand Manager, which makes Coach K our in-house social media expert and design guru.

    About Coach Kaylin
    Kaylin was one of the first athletes ever to wear a Defiance Elite uniform. As a player, Kaylin was a strong leader and hard worker. Kaylin played high school softball at Warrenton where she won a Class 4 District 4 Championship.

    Her playing experience as a pitcher, corner infielder, and outfielder made Kaylin knowledgeable from virtually any defensive perspective. As a coach, she is relatable, honest, and dedicated to player development. Kaylin epitomizes the Defiance Elite way- first as a player, and now as a coach.

    Operations Manager

    About Coach Sue
    Sue played collegiately at Southeast Missouri State University and boasts nearly 20 years of coaching experience. As a newly-retired teacher from the Francis Howell School District, Sue returns to coaching high school softball with Francis Howell’s “C” team in 2023.

    She has a passion for the game of softball and for mentoring young women to become better versions of themselves. Her strengths are her patience and ability to communicate effectively with nearly any athlete.
